BIG WORDS AREN'T ALWAYS SCARY

Below is a list of ingredients that may be found in some of our products. These ingredients often sound and look scary but are actually all natural and extremely beneficial to your skin!

Glycerin, also known as glycerol, is a natural compound derived from vegetable oils or animal fats (We only use vegetable). It’s a clear, colorless, odorless, and syrupy liquid with a sweet taste.    According to the American Academy of Dermatology Association, glycerin can:
  • hydrate the outer layer of the skin (stratum corneum)
  • improve skin barrier function
  • provide protection against skin irritants
  • accelerate wound-healing processes
  • relieve dry skin
  • may help with psoriasis

Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate (SLI) is a new generation surfactant that is salt and sulfate free, has excellent detergency, and is used as a gentle cleansing agent in several applications in hair and skin care like shampoos, body washes, facial cleansers. SLI is a  high foaming product that when used will provide dense, creamy lather to formulations.  It is naturally derived from fatty acids derived from coconuts.

Disodium laureth sulfosuccinate is a surfactant. Surfactants lower the surface tension between two liquids or solids. This allows for oils and dirt to be lifted from the skin and be easily washed away from the skin. This is why DLS is primarily used in cleansers, soaps, bubble bath products, shampoos, and shaving creams.

DLS is considered to be gentler on the skin. This is due to the molecule size, other surfactants have smaller molecule sizes while DLS has a larger molecule size comparatively. This means that DLS doesn’t readily penetrate the skin where it is likely to cause irritation. It also is a negatively charged molecule, contributing to its milder nature.

Sodium chloride AKA Salt is a multifunctional ingredient used in cosmetics and skincare products as a binder, oral care agent, gentle abrasive, thickening agent, and preservative.

Phenoxyethanol is an oily, sticky substance with a pleasant odor often compared to roses. Cosmetic products, soaps, and detergents are prone to going bad, just like the food we eat. Phenoxyethanol helps to prevent fungi, bacteria, and yeast from growing in your products. This gives them a longer shelf life and ensures safety.  It's a preservative found naturally occurring in green tea and chicory.

Tetrasodium Etidronate EDTA in a skincare formula it is to prevent the growth of fungus and the development of rancidity.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate  SLSA OR Lathanol LAL is a powder used to make bath salts, bath bombs, and bath bubble as it creates a foaming lather. Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate is not referred to as SLS in the beauty industry and has a completely different profile in terms of performance and mildness and is derived from coconut and palm oils. Classified as a safe skin friendly surfactant for both skin and hair because of its large molecular structure.  This mild plant derived surfactant creates a lather that effectively removes surface oil, dirt and bacteria, without stripping or drying sensitive skin.

Power of Goat's Milk

 The power of milk!

Goat'cha products do much more than just clean & moisturize your body. All of our products are made of pure goat milk along with certain other natural ingredients like all natural herbs, spices, fruits, vegetables, coconut oil, olive oil, etc., which makes it an excellent alternative to regular synthetic body products.

Want to know how handcrafted natural products can give you more benefits and a beauty boost to boot? Read on to know more:

1. Cleanses Gently Yet Deeply:

Goatcha's products are handcrafted  goat milk products that contain no harsh detergents or harmful chemical compounds. The lactic acid component of pure goat milk is known to play a key role in cleansing our skin by eliminating impurities. It also contains alpha hydroxy acids that break down the bonds between dead cells and remove the dull surface layer of the skin to give the skin a squeaky clean appearance. Moreover, these soaps are rich in natural ingredients, which work gently without causing excessive dryness.

2. Gives Healthy And Nourished Skin:

Goat milk is packed with vitamins, such as A, B1, B6, B12, C, D, E, etc., and minerals, such as zinc, copper, iron, selenium, etc. Apart from that it also includes fatty acids, amino acids, citric acid, antioxidants and enzymes. All these are needed not just for our body but are also important for our skin. However, the best part is that goat milk can penetrate the surface layer of the skin fast and provide each of our tissues sufficient amounts of nutrients. In short, regular use of goat milk products can feed the skin and nourish it from within.

3. Keeps The Skin Soft And Moisturized:

Goat milk itself is an emollient or natural moisturizer that gets absorbed by the skin instantly and creates a moisture barrier to keep it soft, smooth and supple for a longer period of time. It is loaded with proteins, fatty acids and glycerine, which contribute to its super hydrating and moisturizing properties. Conversely, the creamy texture of the soap gives a luxurious softness by penetrating the upper layer of the skin and reaching the cracks and gaps formed between the cells quite easily.

4. Prevents Premature Aging:

Being rich in powerful antioxidants, such as Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin E, goat milk can keep our body free from the oxidative damages caused by free radicals. It also eliminates the layer of dead cells from the surface layer of our skin and reveals the new cell layers underneath. Both of these result into delayed aging and getting rid of signs of aging, like the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots, and so on.

5. Keeps Skin Acne-Free:

According to experts, goat milk products are capable of giving tough competition to any other anti-bacterial products available in the market, especially when it comes to treating acne and blemishes. The milk proteins present in the products possess amazing anti-microbial properties, which help prevent the growth of acne-causing bacteria and destroy the ones already on your skin.

6. Relieves Irritation And Inflammation:

Regular use of goat milk products can be helpful in relieving the skin inflammation. Goat milk is known to have strong anti-inflammatory properties due to the presence of fat molecules in it. Besides, it does not include chemical additives. So, anybody (even people with sensitive skin) can use it without worrying about irritation or inflammation.

7. Heals Skin Infections Quickly:

As said in the previous point, goat milk can soothe our skin without causing itchiness. On the other hand, it also offers effective anti-microbial effects. Therefore, the soap made from it can easily be used to heal skin infections, such as rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and contact dermatitis faster.

8. Maintains pH Balance Of The Skin:

Goat milk products help balance the pH level of our body perfectly. It has been found that goat milk contains a certain fatty acid named caprylic acid, which lowers the pH balance of the soap and makes it almost similar to that of the human body. As a result, our skin can absorb most of the nutrients from the soap and prevent the attack of germs successfully. & SO MUCH MORE!
